Isn't the weather lovely.

The weather was a bit horrid these past two or three days, but tis all good now!!! I've got studying to do, but so so so so want to do some art and scrapbooking. Trying to save it all for when the exams are over. We have a whole month in uni with no lectures, so I'll need something to do then. :)

Most people are coming back to college today. Term starts again tomorrow. It's a bit weird having people back, was used to the quiet and having most of the college to myself. But oh well. It is nice to see people again! :)

It's Saturday.

I got up early today. I'm trying to get back into a uni rythm. Not ready to study for exams yet, need classes to spur me on. So what else is there to do in the morning? First, talk to James on the phone for an hour or so. :D YAY! and some drawings. Can't really do too much in my little college room, so I'm mainly drawing then painting in photoshop. :) Relaxing, but hurts the eyes. :P

Been working on little themes for Susie :P I made a British Summer, with Pimms and Strawberries, and a BBQ, with not much...It was early, I was tired. Anyhoo! Thought I'd share!!

Blind Drawing is fun.

This morning I woke up at 8:30, trying to get ready for starting uni again. I went shopping for some clothes, and got a book from the library for revision. Then I was pretty bored, so I drew. :) I keep forgetting how much I enjoy drawing. It's so relaxing and soothing, yet so much fun! I decided to do some blind drawing since it's been such a long time since I last did it. It was something my art teacher introduced me to, to loosen up my drawings. Here's what I produced.

These are supposed to be me and my college friends...I'm not sure it's that easy to tell. From top to bottom: Me, Adrienne, Sasha, Miriam.
I also tried doing a whole person. :) I quite like it. Feels very childlike yet not. That's what I love about blind drawing.

As well as doing some blind drawing I made a new little character. I really like this style. I used to draw something similar, basically meaning the same shape head. :P Here she is. I will call her Susie. :)

Last night we, Adrienne and I, cooked one of the best dinners we've had since we've been cooking for ourselves in the oh so well equipped pantry of ours in college. Cheat Lasagna. Not sure if it is generally known, I'm pretty sure it was my mums idea. :) It's basically all the ingredients of lasagna without having to cook it in an oven. So we had pasta, white sauce, mince (turkey, it was going cheap) and tomato sauce. Yum yum. :) Didn't taste quite normal because of the turkey, but was SO yum.

Getting ready and :(

I have got most of my stuff ready to scrapbook my first year of uni. I'm just missing the most important things, the photos! I always find it very hard to choose which to include, I just love all of them!! I will be scrapbooking in a file for the first time, thought it would be appropriate considering that it is a uni scrapbook. :) I am getting very excited!

On another note, I was sorting out my wardrobe today. I go through phases, and have now decided I don't want much colour, just neutral clothes. So I was making sure that was mainly what my wardrobe consisted of. Whilst on a roll I decided that maybe i should sort out pants, socks and bras. I am very upset I have to throw away 7 bras. :( I get attached to them... they were the first pretty bras I owned. I suppose it's about time I throw them away, had some for nearly 3 years! Ew! :P But they no longer fit, and that is the main reason they need to go... :(

I did some painting!

Today I did some painting...I know I should be studying, but I've been having a real arty urge recently so had to do something! I am also planning to scrapbook, it's been so LONG since I last did. Almost a year I think, so I am very excited about scrapbooking again, and re-inventing my style! :)

Fresh Start.

Time to start studying! Probably something normal for most people by the age of 19, but I don't really like it, since it usually involves reading over stuff I know. However, I can read up on subject areas for Education Studies to help me with my exams, and that should be fun. I'm going to read up on 4 subjects in each module, 4 that really interest me, so that I want to work. :) I will work!! Starting today...maybe :P

I had a fab time!! :D I was exhausted by the end of the 2 weeks, but I now have plenty of time to catch up on sleep!! :)

Changes

Things have changed. First, my hair!!! :D I did want to grow it, but then I thought a short hair cut would be so practical and summery, and since it felt so summery in Geneva I went for it. The first cut was longer than the above pictures, and I wanted it shorter, so I got it shorter with some blondish highlights. I am mucho happy with it. :D I think the highlights bring out the ginger in my hair, and my eyes stand out a little more. :)

Secondly, I am back in Durham...and it is not warm. No more 20 degrees, nope it's down to 10...thats not very warm for spring. It is very dismal. Not a very happy change, but I'm back in my room and happy with that. Went shopping for 3 days worth of food for Adrienne and I. We spent £20. Which we think is good. :P We made a yum salad for lunch, with bacon, mushrooms, toast and yum french sauce.

I am now catching up on all my missed tv shows. How about you?

I have been seriously neglecting this site the past few weeks, but that is because I am on holiday. Been quite busy with teaching friends to ski and birthdayness. Will maybe share stories and pictures but today I just wanted to say Happy Birthday to my lil sis!! She is in China at the moment, missing her lots.
