Strictly Come Dancing

I wanted to do some drawing today, so whilst watching Strictly I decided Bruce and Tess would be great people to draw. :P I hope you recognise them! :)

PS: I took some really pretty pictures of Rogue today. :)

Guess who isn't working!

ME ME ME!!!

I should be, not that I have THAT much to do, but still, I feel like I spend a lot of my time not working. I'm drawing at the moment. I've missed drawing. :)

Planning an xmas party too, everyone seems to want to have one, so now I don't know if they'd come to one we do... Hehe, but I'm enjoying planning. :D

Are you working?

Party Night.

It was Sasha's Party last night, for her 20th on Monday. We had lots of balloons, and quite a few people round. :) I was told by a lot of people it was uncool to have a Christmas tree up so early, but they don't know anything! :P Was also told the house was very nicely decorated. :D YAY! Hehe. I think people had a good time, I hope for Sasha that they did. :) Photos from the night aren't that great because they were taken by either over excited people or drunk people...but they are memories none the less. :)

I think we're going out hopping today, then we have a basketball match against Trevs (which we should win, if we don't we will not be happy), and then going out for dinner. Living the life! Why I don't do any work :P

I made myself some promises...

A few months ago I made myself some promises, so thought I'd share how that was going:
- I am not getting my hair cut once a month, seems a little too much.
- I bought a camera!!! And I love it! :D
- I am not taking photos as often as I would like to, but dull, grey, rainy days aren't the best for photos.
- Haha...was failing so bad at updating my blog every other day. Forgot how much time lectures took up, but I'm working on it!
- I am doing more for me. :)
- Creative Saturdays...more like lazy days! Need to work on this one.
- Am trying SO hard on focussing on the positives, not always that easy.
- Not drinking more water, but am drinking more coffee! :P
- Bed before 12! Oh yeah, I'm going to bed at 10!! Haha...and I feel much more awake than I did last year! :)

So all in all, I'm not doing well!! :P So I still have things to work on. :) Maybe in the new year.

What have I been up to?

Manchester!! It's my grandpa's 80th this coming Sunday, so we went to Manchester to celebrate last weekend, there was a surprise party for him. On Saturday we went out for a meal at an Italian. It was fun. We giggled a lot, based mainly on misunderstandings, like I thought 'antipastas' were main courses that didn't have pasta with them...not starters. Hehe...
Sunday was the party, so we took him to the surprise. :) It was a bit odd seeing a lot of people you don't know, but he was very happy and touched that so many people turned up. It was nice to see him happy.

Here are some photos from the weekend:

The house was really smokey so we went on a walk to see my mums old school. The weather was so nice and pretty! I love blue skies, they photograph so well!

I did all my walking in these pretty shoes! So happy I could wear pretty things like these! Durham tries it's best to kill your feet when you wear shoes that are nice, I'm trying my best to find something that works!
After the walk to my mums old school we hung out in my Grandpa's garden, because we can!! Last time I visited it was a jungle, couldn't see anything past the branches, couldn't get out the door! It's looking much better now!
Liam got an adorable Russ decoration, it enjoyed the train ride home. :)

My mum bought me some stuff to decorate for Xmas, and I bought some extras. :D All gold and glorious! I love gold Christmases, they are so warm and elegant. :)

Things to keep me busy:
  • Wash my clothes!
  • Paint a set.
  • Maths HW.
  • Read three articles.
  • Research and write an essay.
  • Tidy my room for James.
  • Make house all pretty.
  • Make Banoffee Pie...YUM!
  • Celebrate Sasha's 20th.
  • Play poker.
  • SMILE...hehe, hurts the cheeks after a while. :P
Thought of the day: THE RIVER IS HIGH!!! Oh my!! I should have taken a photo, but only got home after 16:00 because of lectures, and Sasha's hair (which is now so gorgeous) and Vennels and shopping...and I didn't have my camera with me! BUT tomorrow, if it's still so so HIGH, I will take a picture for evidence. But literally could not walk along the towpath! (Which will only mean anything to people who live in Durham or have visited). It's rained a lot!

Off to do start checking of things on my to do list!

Durham Light Festival

From Thursday until Sunday last week there were some awesome light displays on around Durham, the best being the one on the Cathedral. I happened to have a lecture just before it started so hung around to watch it with my mum, who luckily happened to be visiting me for that night. I do think we are a lucky family, things just seem to fall into place for us. :) It was hard to take some good photos so I filmed the light show instead! Unfortunetly the video didn't work, so I'll try take screen shots from it soon. :)

Here is an extra picture of something pretty in a window:

There is an awesome light festival in Durham right now!! I would recommend watching the cathedral! :D

I took a video, will share later.

Off to celebrate an 80th now!

Awesomeness!!

Dumdidumdidum...we had Basketball training today. :) Hehe, after having Burger King! Yum, I miss junk food!

Apparently, Castle, the team we played on Saturday, had 2 Uni players on the team AANNNNDDD they asked at their Uni practice how to break a zone because ours was so awesome they couldn't break it!!! :D YAYS!!! I know this means nothing to most people, but it's good news! We are very happy.

Maths is starting to get boring, and days are starting to feel long...Oh I can't wait for the holidays! :P Still no photos of the christmas tree or wall decorations but they will come!! No worries. :)

TWO WEEKS!!!

Dum di dum...

I got the Christmas tree and lights today. Will share pictures when it is decorated! :D I am so good at distracting myself from work. I fail to do anything fun and creative until I have work to do, and then I find so many fun and creative things to do instead!! Hehe!!

I thought instead of a photo of the tree I'd share something pretty from my walks home on Firdays. :) I love old buildings, they have so much character!

Should be reading about Interviews now, it's not the most interesting of things to do...and it's not written interestingly either, so that doesn't help...AND I answer a question just as the text did before reading it, so I'm not sure how informative it is either. :P I'm just making up excuses why I shouldn't read it.

Seeing my mum again this weekend, and my grandpa. It's his 80th. :)

Almost 2weeks til I see James again! YAY!!

Xmas!

Thought I would share some pictures of the Christmas decoartions I bought yesterday. They only cost £5. :) Our house will be so warm and pretty for Christmas! I just need the tree and lights to get the decorating started!! YAY!!

EEEE!!!!

Haha...excuse my overly cheesy grin!! BUT WE WON!!! YAY!!! We're against the good teams too, so makes us feel even happier. We won 26-20!! And all 4 of us got at least 1 basket!!! Eeeee!!! Think I have to go out now to celebrate! (The boys won too, 60 something -9!)

YAY!

Basketball...

We have a match tonight, at 5. Eeek! It's our first one this year, quite nervous!! But I think we'll do fine.

There's a social after, to go and watch some belated Bonfire Night fireworks, but I'm quite scared of fireworks so I'm thinking of staying in and having a quietish night. :)

OOOO!! AND I got christmas decorations, our theme is gold and silver, so winter wonderland-esc!!! Hehe, and I've reserved a Christmas tree and some lights!! YAY!! I'm so excited about decorating for Christmas!!! :D I think I'm getting my friends excited too! I hope so. :)

I went on a walk.

I went on a walk yesterday, not too far just around where we live. It was nice though, just to get out and walk with nowhere in particular to go. :) Here are some pictures from the walk:

Thought of the day: I've always wanted to be one of those people that sees the little things, and enjoys them. One of those people that can find joy in the simplest things, those magical people you can't help but find fascinating. Those people that will be silly in public, that have such a love for life and care so little about what others think. Thats probably why I like movies like Phoebe in Wonderland, and shows like Ally McBeal. Even though I don't think I am one of those people, I do get a great deal of inspiration from them to be happier and do what I want. I love that. :)

The days go by...

I feel so busy a lot of the time, even though I am not. Hehe. I don't feel like I have enough time to do the little fun things, like going out and taking photos, drawing, painting, and all of that. I plan a lot though, I think I plan too much. I have all these ideas for decorating for christmas, and cakes to make for certain events, and what to do when James visits...plan, plan, plan.

I will write more when my head is organised...feels a bit sloshy now. :)
