My hair was pretty long, and I was bored of it, so to the chop! :D Very happy with my cute little cut, not too long, not too short, just perfect!
PLUS! I also booked my tickets to Australia, and was granted my Working Holiday Visa! :D Yays!!! I was jumping around the house last night in excitement! Good times!

My Paintings...
Paintings from the last 3 years... |
I feel like my focus in life is mega blurry, and so most of the things I used to feel so sure about are blurry too...so everything is just blurry. I need to re-find my focus.
So, random post, with random rambles about not much just to say I feel a little lost in my ways and would like to find my way in life again. :)

Greed Pork Belly
Mmm. I've made this meal twice before, once in Canberra and once in Durham, and man oh man is it good! So so yum, totally a greedy dish. The recipe comes from Australian Masterchef again, from a deadly sin challenge, obviously this is Greed.
If you want to give it a try the recipe can be found here.
It's not too hard to make, but does take some time and requires some odd ingredients. I didn't use the Shaoxing Wine, and used brown sugar instead of cooking caramel. I would also recommend keeping the stock the pork is cooked in (you end up using only a cup of it's 2L to make the yum sauce) and turning it into a big batch of yum sauce later, because it can then be used with chicken wings, duck, fried rice, stir-fries AND no waste!
Yum yum!
We/my mum made the table look nice too for this yum meal. :)

ResourceFurnitures - Space Savers
Most pages also link the pdf's which give good details in sizes and alternative colours and fabrics.
Some of the particular products I am loving are:
The Cubista
Which goes from this cute little seat... |
...to these 5 little seats! |
Nuovoliola 10 + Home Office
Which goes from this Sofa and tidy cupboards to either... |
...this bed, or... |
...this sofa and desk. |
AND, Swing.
Which goes from this uber comfy looking sofa during the day, to... |
This lovely Queen sized bed and armchair in the evening. |
They all look so fabulous and practical, and from watching the videos on the website, they all look really easy to change from one to the other.
I'm loving space saving!

101 Dreams - Dream 26
Dream 26 - Start a camera collection.
I have quite a few dreams orientated around cameras and photography. As well as learning how to use your 'normal' camera I would also LOVE to collect all sorts of old cameras, and funky cameras, and learn about how they work and the funky effects they produce. :)
All photos from weheartit.com |
Lots of cool cameras to clutter my space and capture wonderful moments please!

Walk
The walk to my 'job' (4 hours a week is all I'm working at the moment) is REALLY pretty. It's in the lovely country side-ness of Geneva. With the past few weeks producing beautiful sunshine filled days it's been even more lovely. :) I thought I'd share a bit of the loveliness.

101 Dreams - Dream 46
Dream 46 - Start a website for my Photography.
I would be no means claim to be a Photographer, because 1. I know very little about cameras (I would love to learn more though), 2. I feel like my photography is a little amateur compared to proper photographers. BUT I do still love quite a lot of the photos I have taken, especially those of flowers, and looking through my photos and taking them bring me a lot of joy and relaxation. So I would love to share them on a more...I don't know the word I want to use, but I feel they deserve to be shared on their own, not just on my blog. If people are interested in buying them too, that'd be awesome. :)
So, yeah...I dream of setting up a website for my photos.

Park des Bastions
On Tuesday I met with the parents on children I will be doing 'conversational English' with. They wanted to meet near the Park des Bastions, so I thought I'd use it as an excuse to wonder around the park. I had lunch in town and then went to the park with an hour to spare. It's a truly beautiful park, I should really visit it more often. Here are some of my favourite photos from my time in the park. :)

Dresses and boots
1. Crepe-Chiffon dress from Esprit, CHF159.90, 2. Silk Poppy Field dress from Peruvian Connection, $498, 3. Dress from Esprit, CHF109.90, 4. Lyndee Concert boots from Clarks.co.uk, £89.99, 5. Heeled boot from Esprit, CHF199.90, 6. Boot from Esprit, CHF189.90.
With the whole move to Australia, which in my mind will be so very warm, and being in Geneva for Autumn and Winter, my mind is focusing on outfits I can use in both situations with very few tweaks. Thus, floaty dresses are a love of mine at the moment, because they are wonderful all on their own in the summer, and can look oh-so cool with a cardigan and boots in the colder seasons. :) Above are some of my dream dresses and boots.

Chicken Stir-fry
To keep myself busy, and doing something that interests me, I have decided to try cook something new(ish) each week. It's also nice for my mum not to have to cook every night as well. :) And since I like to share I thought I'd let you know what recipe I was following, how easy I thought it was to make and how yum I thought it was. :D
On Tuesday I made a Chicken Stir-fry meal from the Masterchef Australia website, the recipe can be found here.
I liked the look of it because there was no rice or noodles, so in a way it feels healthier and less bloating to eat.
The ingredients included:
- Dark Soy sauce.
- Fish sauce.
- Chicken.
- Spring Onions.
- Garlic.
- Bean Sprouts.
The original recipe includes a finely chopped red chilli, but I was a little scared of using that so avoided it. But I think it would add some colour to the dish, and a bit of added flavour (not that it lacked flavour).
The meal was easy to cook, and the instructions very simple to follow. PLUS, it tasted really yum! We all thought it could have done with maybe a bit of ginger and the chillies, but it was still delicious and something I'd recommend making. Mmmm. :)
What my final dish looked like:
This is definitely a dish I'll make again and again, and alter as I like it. It's a really great simple base for experimenting with. :)
