I still want to:
-Eat.
-take photos of finished painting.
-Skype some more.
-Shower.
-Go shopping!
-Have a fabulous evening. :)

I like to keep my lists simple. :P

7 countries, 5 days.

Switzerland, Germany, Holland, England, Holland, Belgium, Luxemburg, France, Switzerland.

This weekend (Thurs-Mon) we went to collect my university things, by car. The trip there was...hectic, stressful, slow, full of traffic jams, not exactly the happy finishing off uni trip I thought it would be. But we managed to get on the ferry and get to Newcastle, so it's all good. On Saturday, the day we arrived in Newcastle, my parents and I had some yummy Fish and Chips for lunch, and then my mum and I met with Sonya and Bailey and had a wonderful afternoon in Vennels, wandering around shops and watching my mum get her feet eaten by fish. It was really, really lovely. My parents and I then went for dinner at Zen, which is always very yum...mmmmm. And then headed to Miriam's and Will's because thats where I was staying the night. An all in all good day.

I had LOADS more things than I remembered BUT we managed to fit them in the car and say good-bye to Durham. Bye!

The trip back was LOADS better, the ship was nicer, the food was nicer, our room was nicer, the weather was gorgeous, we were all happy, the roads were open and traffic free. It was pretty darn awesome!

And now I am home...and really need to get started sorting out my life, although I'm enjoying just being for a while. :)

Our good-bye G&T's as we left the port.

The wonderful-ness of dinner.

Our yum yum main courses. Mmmm.

And my Symphony of Strawberries. Was a little too strawberry-y.

The gorgeous roses on our table.

And the lovely sunset. :)

As for my 'To do' list last Wednesday, I achieved it all except the unpacking...I now have a whole lot more unpacking to do as well...could be a week or 2 before thats done. But I painted, and we had the most lovely evening out with the Hall's. :D

Oh, Lola!

I had a pretty long stop over in Terminal 5 on my way home. I say pretty long, it was only 4-5 hours, which is short compared to what some people have to sit through at airports...but it felt like forever, there really aren't enough shops to keep you occupied (mainly because most of them are like super fancy, and I'd just got off of a 24-ish hour plane journey so did not feel I looked anywhere near good enough to go in those stores). I thought since it was such a long wait, and I was getting close to being bored out of my mind, I would treat myself. I'd seen Marc Jacobs 'Lola' perfume before, and really liked the smell and the bottle, but it was always a bit pricey. Airport stuff is a little cheaper! PLUS he's just released 'Oh, Lola!' which is a lot lighter than the original, so I like it like 10 times more. So I got some. It's so pretty, which is nice, because it can become a decoration when I've used it all up...and it makes me feel special using it. :P :)

I now own a Marc Jacobs perfume...it sounds so fancy!

I'm Home

(from weheartit.com, I think it applies to all loved ones: family, friends, significant others)

It's hard to define what home is now...I have so many. But I suppose the typical meaning of home is what I mean, I am with my family in the house and city I grew up in. :)

No James though, but it's ok, we're used to it now. In an odd way it almost felt normal having to leave...I know I'll be a mess of emotions in a weeks time, but for now it's feeling like part of a routine. We'll be stopping that routine soon, yup yup. :) I'm not overly fond of the routine anyway.

But! I am home. Need to start doing all the amazing things I have planned for this time...like find some work, learn to drive, and all sorts of fun creative things I hope I'll manage to blog about, because I like sharing. Exciting times ahead! :D

Honey Badgers...don't exist?

(yet another of my drawings)

You may remember my picture of the Honey Badger (it is only 2 posts down). Well, someone didn't believe they were real animals, and spent most of the holiday after we saw them claiming people had been bribed to talk about the Honey Badgers. Anyhoo, on the original post I got a comment: "awesome picture, just need one of bruce saying they are not real next to it!" Whilst I couldn't draw one next to the Honey Badger, I did on the next page. Urrr...it's not the most convincing of drawings...I'm still working on getting people to look like themselves in drawings...but it's close. :)

Coffee meeting with James later, and then some yummy pizza for dinner. Mmmmm.

Do what makes you happy

(found at weheartit.com)

Ok, so I may not be tired of people needing excuses. I'm tired of me feeling like I need other excuses. I do fully agree that you should do something because you want to, you find it fun and it makes you happy...they are like my basic criteria for life, which makes things a little - I don't know, slightly annoying, because I can be indecisive. A lot of things make me happy, I just don't know what I want to do. :P Anyhoo, rambling over...stuff to do! :)

Sydney

On Saturday James and I went for a looooong walk...and it was SO warm. It was really nice though, so I'm not really complaining, just saying that I may melt when I have to live through an Australian summer if an Australian winter makes me feel so incredibly hot.

Anyhoo, we went on a lovely walk in the sunshine all the way to Circular Quay and back. We ended up walking under the Harbour Bridge. I think I like the bridge more from underneath. It's pretty cool how there was a cool sun/shade line. :)

I am just rambling...my mind is a bit mush. For some reason now that I'm done with University I decided to read lots of education articles online...the things people comment on these things makes my mind boggle.

Hope the week has started well for everyone! :)
Toodles!

Apparently they don't

(my drawing of a Honey Badger)

There is apparently an awesome video about Honey Badgers on youtube in which "they don't care". We were informed of this quite a bit on our trip to South Africa by certain Gosper boys. It seems they were right. Whilst visiting an animal rehab centre we got to see some Honey Badgers...and according to the guy taking us around they constantly try to escape and attacker his boss. They don't care. The centre introduced the male to a female, the first the the male does? Push the female against the wall and try and use her as a way to get over the wall...

Sun Downers

The Sun Downer was offered at Thonga beach for a maximum of 8 people an evening. Since the parents all went the first evening we decided to have a 'kids' Sun Downer. The idea is to go to a lake nearby in which Hippos live, to watch the Hippos as the sun sets with a drink. Unfortunately, on our trip we saw no Hippos (although we did hear a few and were informed they were maybe 40-50m away...reassuring knowledge) and there was no Gin...so James and I couldn't have a G&T's...they remembered to pack tonic though! But I think the sunset may have made up for those facts. I hope you agree too. I was beautiful...but freezing, you may enjoy it more from the warmth of your homes. :P
I believe the photos are in order...although I'm not 100% on the last three, but it was spectacular. :)

Some Holiday Photos

Hello!! Some photos from the first part of our most amazing holiday to South Africa. :D
An awesome African proverb on the wall at Lesedi, in the Ndebele tribal area where 'the kids' stayed. :)

Now TSHUKUDU!!! :D Our favourite Safari Game Park! James now loves it too. :)
Impala, we see impala EVERYWHERE! They are the MacDonald's of the bush, around every corner, with and M on their butts.
We walked with cheetahs. Savannah's cubs. Unfortunately Savannah died whilst the cubs were still young, so they have become used to humans by being looked after humans. One of the cubs was rejected by Savannah, and so is a little more "tame" than the others. We now walk with four cheetahs instead of one. We're so cool.
Pretty Lilac-breasted Roller.
Giraffes! My new favourite animal. I LOVE taking photos of Giraffes, they are so awesome looking. :)
Red-beak Hornbill. They are so cool.
The Cheetahs. :) Much love.

More photos to come soon.

South Africa!!!

Internet is a rare thing in the locations we choose to visit in South Africa, so although I'd love to give a regular update on our awesome goings ons, it may be very hard to do so. :)

I will be having an awesome time though. And I hope you will be too.

Much love.
