A Very Special Kind of Question

Thursday 15 May, James surprised me with some beautiful flowers. We ordered in some takeaway and watched some SNL, then whilst we were up and about and having a bit of a cuddle James asked me to marry him. Of course I said no. Joking! I said Yes, yes, of course, yes. And then I cried a little. Then he got out some champagne, and I cried some more, and then a little later I cried a little bit more...all happy tears, very happy tears. He had a little ring for me, that he had bought a year ago. It wasn't the ring he wanted to propose with, but he didn't want to wait any longer. This last weekend we got a proper ring. It is beautiful, simple and elegant and I can't stop telling him how much I love it.

We then spent the weekend calling and sending messages to family and close friends. It was probably one of the happiest weekends I have ever had. I love how happy everyone was for us. :)

We're super happy. :D

1 year in Australia

Today marks 1 year since I 'moved' to Australia. It's been a pretty wonderful year. I have absolutely LOVED being here with James, and think it was definitely the right decision to move here rather than staying in the UK to do my PGCE. I think finally getting to live together properly has brought us even closer together, and it's so nice to have him here with me rather than the other side of a computer screen. :) It's been a very happy year, and I look forward to many more!

We weren't really planning on doing much with our day, but turned it into a bit of a treat. I got my hair cut in the early afternoon, it had been about 6 months since my last one, so I thought my hair needed it. We then went down to Broadway and had a late lunch at a yum American Diner like place, even treating ourselves to a scrummy sundae. :D I then slept most of the afternoon and James had a bath. Then we tried to take some nice photos together, but we don't like our faces much (hence the lack of photos of us) so we resorted to funny photos. It was a good laugh. :D

Love this guy. :)

Happy Things

From here, unfortunately sold out.

Today, one of my good friends, and old housemates, sent me a link to this picture saying that it was "So Katie". It makes me really happy that this is how I am remembered. It is such a lovely way to be remembered. :)

Also, the picture linked to two awesome things. Firstly, the link my friend sent me took me to a pinterest page all about tea. Ah tea! It's lots of pretty things related to cups of tea and coffee, it makes me happy browsing through it, if you'd like to have a look, you can here. Secondly, the print was originally from a cute little corner of etsy, Amanda Catherine Designs. I haven't even had a proper look at all her stuff and I'm already loving what she does. :)

Dream 42 - Be happy. Yes, I made it a dream. And it's not because I'm not happy, but because I like to remind myself that being happy is important and should always be a goal in life. If something isn't making me happy, I need to change it. Be happy.

Aiming for happy.

To aim for happy I am going to:

• Remove black nail varnish.
• Have lunch.
• Shower.
• Make my hair nice.
• Paint nails a nice mint colour.
• Relax.
• Buy some crisps. :)
• Make notes for maths.

Even if I don't do the last 2 I think I should still be happy. :)
