A trip to the airport.

Yesterday was a very pretty day. Unfortunately that meant I got very little work done. Yay, go me. I am very good at not doing work, but then somehow getting work done. I think it's a girl thing.

Anyhoo, I went to the airport yesterday with my mum just to see the emptyness. I have now had 2 flights cancelled because of the volcano. So taking a train back to Durham now. :) Yays. So yeah, here are my oh so wonderful pictures of our airport. :)

Crayon rings.

Could you get much cooler? I first saw them here, and then came across a photo of them on weheartit.com. They are pretty awesome looking! Pretty sure they would make your finger go a fun colour, and cause all sorts of accidental streaks of colour, but who cares? :D

In other news, I am now going back to Durham (I keep calling it home!) on Friday because of the ash cloud! :P At least I am keeping cheerful, man I want to do something horrible to all these complaining people who just aren't doing anything to get home but complain. Anyways, this time I know I'll be leaving on Friday because I'll be on train not a plane. So yays! Britain's Got Talent and Chinese take away a week late anyone? :)

Yes, I should be doing work! But...I don't want to! I've already done some kitchen cleaning to avoid work. It is quite amazing what I will do to avoid doing my work! :P Tidying is the best though. Posting cute pictures of kitties you have collected from weheartit.com is second best. :D Oh my kitties are just too cute! I want lots, now, please!

If you have not said "aww" at least once whilst looking at these then there is either something wrong with you or you are a guy. :P

Garden

When I have a house I would love a garden this colourful. Obviously a stream/river through the middle isn't needed, but lots of tulips, daffodils, etc. around the bottom of cute trees. :) I also want a picket fence! :P AND a tree house! I should probably learn how to look after plants first, and then maybe I can make myself a cheerful garden. :)

Time to do some more work. I swear essays were invented by someone who wanted everyone to be miserable. Ho hum...life goes on.

But, alas, today I am going to try my very hardest to resist and actually get some work done. The 365 day photo challenge has made me quite happy. I now look up as I walk, notice the small things, I came out with the phrase the other day: "This would make for a really lovely photo." As lovely as it is that I do those sorts of things now it can very easily distract me from "important" work. (I don't know how important in life an essay is, but towards my degree and future teaching job I suppose it is relatively important! :P)

So, the point is. I am going to try and WORK today! Read articles, take notes, formulate ideas and arguments...yes yes! I can do this!

New update has extended the restriction on flights until 0700BST tomorrow. This doesn't effect my flight yet, I don't think. Easyjet hasn't cancelled it yet anyways. There will be more info again at 2030BST to let us know what's happening.

But for now looks like I can still get home to Durham. :)

And if you haven't seen yet, a volcano in Iceland erupted and has been causing all sorts of plane trouble...I'm still not 100% sure if I'll be flying home tomorrow. BBC has said that Britain is keeping their airspace closed until AT LEAST 0100BST on Saturday...my plane would land at 1055BST on Saturday...so the cancellations are slowly creeping towards my flight. :(

Geneva love.

Yesterday I went into town and took my camera. I really should take my camera with me everywhere because there are so many nice things to take photos of. I made two more panoramas, but am not happy with them. I like the view, just not happy with the merging of the pictures...I can clearly see where they blend together, and it's annoying. Hehe. I also took some photos of some pretty things, there aren't many, but I do think the photos I have are really nice. :)
