Waiting outside

As I left the house yesterday this gorgeous butterfly was waiting for me outside. It was kind enough to let me take a photo before it flew away. :)

Botanical Gardens

We visited the Botanical Gardens again this year. Unfortunately the visit wasn't very long as we only had a small amount of time in our oh-so-busy lives to fit it in, BUT it was lovely nonetheless. :) I'm always happy if there are pretty flowers in natural light to be photographed.
We found a little bird watching house during our walk...I don't remember finding it last time...so we sat inside and waited for some birds. Unfortunately they didn't seem to want to show themselves, but a squirrel was very happy to take their place.
:) I do love the outdoors.

Buxton

When we visited Miriam we had a day out in Buxton. There were some incredibly cute little ducklings about in the park...needless to say I took photos! :D
They have such tiny little wings, so CUTE! :)
In other matters, I really need to start packing!!

Results of painting

My painting day yesterday was lovely and chill. :) I do like painting and drawing a lot. I put on some funky music and enjoyed my little artsy time. :D

And the results:

Live like it's heaven on earth.

Sing like no-one is listening.

Love like you've never been hurt before.

And my previously done: Dance like nobody is watching.

And with my left over paint from the backgrounds I made this little painting. :)
Good times. I should make time for art more often.

Manbeans

Me: "What food did you buy to eat?"
James: "Manbeans."

Cracked me up.

Graduation dress dreaming

I've been enjoying some dress browsing. I'm not a big fan of dresses, I tend to feel a little uncomfortable and uneasy in them, but I do still love looking at them and for fancy occasions would happily wear a fancy dress. :) Some of my favourites from browsing around Karen Millen:

1. A simple black dress.

2. A gorgeous blue dress, would be lovely on curves.

3. Colourful, fun and not too fancy.

4. Colourful, fun and a little bit more fancy.

5. I've loved this one for some time, I think it's the colour.

6. A gorgeous summery dress.

Any you particularly like? I'm off to do some painting now. :D

A chilled to do list

I wanted to be healthy this week, thought I'd try some stuff from the yummy cook book...but the healthy detox stuff is really not yummy...so I'm scraping that, food should be yum and enjoyable.

Today I have:
-walked to the shops and back
-made a disgusting breakfast (may tweak it tomorrow to see if it's yummier)
-made a leek soup (yum yum yum...see photo below)
To do:
-paint and draw
-finish Dara O'Briain's book
-tidy
-have Fish and Chips
-enjoy night in whilst others are at Summer Ball (watch funny TV whilst eating Fish and Chips)

A chill day, and one I have enjoyed so far (except for the breakfast...tasted like paint stripper, bleurgh). :)

PS: I really like the flower photos I took yesterday.

Laughs and treats

(found on weheartit.com, but as you can see is from flyingkimchisoup)

I was doing my occasional weheartit.com browse of typography, because there are usually some inspirational or funny quotes in there. The above proves this, it made me laugh because I don't think I was expecting it to end as it did, but it's still true! :P

In other news, I have done all but tidying on my to do list so I treated myself to a new diary...I already have a lovely green diary from James, but this one is filofax style and I've wanted a filofax style diary for like 4-5 years! PLUS it's totally awesomely coloured and would totally fit into my cool, artistic, eventually working personality. :D Tis gorgeous, and from Paperchase (which thankfully only opened this year...because I would probably have had no money had it been here all three years of uni!!) and eee!
I think I may skip tidying...or do a little...and paint instead? I want to finish a set of paintings, I've only done 1/5 and I have had the canvases ready for at least a year now, so maybe it'd be a good time to get round to them!

More to do

I did all of my to do list yesterday! Yay! Go me! :P So I thought I'd keep updating here with my lists, it helps me decide what I want to do AND means I'm blogging a little bit more than usual. :)

Today I have:
-gone for a walk
-taken some photos
-showered

I still want to:
-Make a leek broth
-Scan Bball photo
-Tidy some more
-Give Adrienne money I owe for internet and gas
-Meet Sonya for coffee and cake

It sounds very doable! :) Tidying is the most difficult, I have so much...I'll get there though!

To do

I've not been so great at doing what I plan to do, so I thought if I told people and then had the "pressure" of then having to admit my inability to not fulfil my to do list I may get more done.

So:
-Tidy room a bit.
-Read through cook book, plan some nice meals.
-Shop for food for nice meals.
-Drink water.
-Watch the Apprentice.

and:
-smile
-feel like I've had an inspirational day.

I am enjoying just doing what makes me happy, but I think I should do some productive happy things too. :) Hope you all have a lovely day!

More of our visit to Pleasurewood Hills

Our visit to Pleasurewood Hills...just some photos. Me and Miriam jumped REALLY high! That's why we're on the basketball team, because we can jump really high, uhuh. :P
The roller-coaster was terrifying. I think I much preferred taking photos of it than being on it. My stomach and head did not agree with the twists and turns...on most rides.
Except the carousel, that was a nice ride. :P We felt so cool, the only people on it. Oh yeah! Go us.
Miriam and Will making the boat ride look so normal and boring...oh yeah, let's just chat this is dull...weirdos.
And then they'd go on this...why?? It twists AND swings. And look how high it goes! And your feet dangle...again, weirdos!
Yet another spinning ride. Double spinning...I did not feel good after that ride. Bleurgh...all dizzy and bleurgh.
Hehe. Standing next to the ride looking up and who do I see? Seriously...why would you go on a ride like that?

I have learnt that I would much rather photograph rides than be on them. :)

Pleasurewood Hills

We are now in Norfolk for some time. It's really pretty, flat and naturey. :) Yesterday we went to Pleasurewood Hills...it has lots of spinny, swingy, rollercoastery rides. Did not agree much with my stomach or head, but taking photos of crazy people (aka Miriam and Will) on the rides was enough fun for me! :)

More photos later, felt like a little update in the meantime.
