Some faves

I haven't yet managed to go through the photos and separate the good from the ok, but I have chosen which photos to use in my 365 project so I thought in the mean time I would shares some of my faves from them. :)
We're off to the botanical gardens and a couple of museums today. :) Hope the weather stays nice so I can take pretty photos of flowers. :D

Hiya

There was no internet connection in Queensland, which made it both difficult to post here and send e-mails to the university. Ho hum.

Queensland was really nice and relaxing, having no internet kind of helped with that. It is really nice to get away from the internet world for a week or so. :) The weather was nice too, not too nice, cloudy and windy occasionally, but generally warm. The walks along the beach were REALLY nice, I like to just walk and it's even nicer with James with me. :) I took lots of photos so I have to do a bit of sorting out the good from the ok before I give you a photo post. I will go through ALL the photos I have taken so far of my trip (most of the ones from before Queensland aren't that great...so I don't think I'll find many good ones amongst them). I think I might do this on Monday whilst James is at lectures.

I had so much I wanted to do this summer, but a lot of it is looking hard to get organised. Next week my aim is to know what I am doing by the end of the week. Yup, need to sort a lot out.

Hope you are all doing well.
Toodles.

Talk soon

We're back in Sydney, and I am under the impression I can only get onto the internet on James' computer here...sooooo, updating here is a little harder since all my pictures are on my computer.

BUT, we're going to Queensland soon and hopefully there will be wireless there and I can update with some photos in it. :) There aren't many awesome photos though, but still some cool ones. :)

We've walked to Darling Harbour, had a day in and been to the movies so far. Been nice. :)

Talk soon.

Time

Hehe. Happy happy. I am so happy do be with James :) It's so nice to be with him again, I do miss him a lot when we're apart.

I've still been feeling a little low because of uni stuff, which is a bit of a bummer. Was really sad and cried quite a lot yesterday. I'm not sure why, nothing really set it off, but I kind of put it down to the uni stuff. I don't really know what I want to do with my life. I think I do, kind of, well I know where I want to get...it's just the getting there. At the moment its not the happiest path, I've not felt myself, I've had plenty of nights crying myself to sleep. These have been when I am not with James so that can be part of the problem, but I didn't do it half as much my first year at uni as I did in my second. I am kind of confused, I would just like things to be simple, but I know they can't. Ho hum, had to say this somewhere. I know people probably don't like reading this kind of stuff, but I find it hard to physically say things to people, but it sort of eats me up to keep it in.

I think I need to find a nice quiet spot and just sit and think and dream and write it all down and then maybe make a realistic plan. :) We're going to Queensland next week. I like Queensland, maybe I can do my planning there on the beach. That will be nice.

PS: James got a haircut today, all his lovely curls are gone. :( I will get over it, probably by tomorrow, but for now I am a little sad. They were so cute.

The Tao of Pooh

Today I finished reading the Tao of Pooh by Benjamin Hoff. I still have the Te of Piglet to read before finishing the book I bought, but the first half is read, and it is ever so interesting. I don't really know how to explain it, but it sort of puts all these ideas and thoughts I have sometimes had wondering around my head into words and doesn't make them seem as silly as I thought they were. It makes life seem so much simpler and calmer and more joyful than it is when you watch people running around trying to get places. I was a really nice book to read and I recommend it to everyone who sometimes wants to escape the busy world...others may not appreciate or understand the book as well. :)

If you would like to read some quotes from the book there are most of the best ones on this site. Some of my favourites being:

"Everything has its own place and function. That applies to people, although many don't seem to realize it, stuck as they are in the wrong job, the wrong marriage, or the wrong house. When you know and respect your Inner Nature, you know where you belong. You also know where you don't belong."

"Through working in harmony with life's circumstances, Taoist understanding changes what others may perceive as negative into something positive."

There is also a section that speaks about the development of a human, where adult is not the last stage, rather the independent, clear-minded, all-seeing Child. I do so much prefer that to an adult. :)

When I get around to uploading my photos, not that there are many "good" photos, I will put up some from our 'Legendary Day Out'.

:)

After much travelling, and some nice chats to the people sitting next to me, I made it. :) I am in Australia. :D Yay!

My whole body is a little achey from sleeping on the plane, and my concept of time is totally confused...not only does it get dark 5 hours earlier in the day her than back home, but my sleeping patterns did no adjust and I now stay up until around 5am...Might as well use this to watch the last World Cup matches (on at 4:30am in Australia), and then I'll try and adjust. :)

Not taken any good photos recently, been a tad tired (and Geneva was just too hot/my bag was too heavy with my camera in it). :D Hopefully, once I'm back into a normal sleeping pattern I will have time to go out and take pretty photos. :)

Toodles.

PS: Holland to win tonight! :)

He hides from me...

This post is going to make me look like such a loser, but yeah I play things like Farmville and Frontierville...and I like them! Hehe. Anyways, in Frontierville you get a spouse and you can make them look how you like and call them what you like, mine looks like James and is called James...and he hides! Which is so annoying because I have to make him do things, and to do that I need to click on him and I can't click on him if I can't find him! It's like playing Where's Wally! Look at how well he hides! I have put my cursor on him to make it easier for you so see...Gar James Gar! :P

Packing is going all right, stuff is in the wash, I have kind of chosen what I want to take with me...just need to put it all in the suitcase and magically make it weigh 20kgs! Yay! :P

Ooo, and Sarah is making lunch! :O :)

Pack pack pack...again

from weheartit.com

I swear it was only a week ago I was packing to come home, and now I am packing to leave...Packing is such a chore. :P Oh well. :) I have pretty things to pack, I think (I may say this a lot...I dunno), but I think I might be happy with my clothes. They all go together, they are nice, they make me feel pretty, they are comfy...I don't know how this has happened but it has! Hehe, YAY! AND they aren't all black! :O There is actual colour...it's shocking. Hehe.
Anyhoo, I have planned what I want to wear on the plane. :) So just need to pack the other stuff...which reminds me, I need to do some washing! :) Will be a busy day.

I am so excited!

:)

A spot of shopping and a yum lunch out helps cheer me up. :) Still got an annoying not so happy feeling lurking about, but I am doing well at ignoring it. :P
