Dum di dum...

I got the Christmas tree and lights today. Will share pictures when it is decorated! :D I am so good at distracting myself from work. I fail to do anything fun and creative until I have work to do, and then I find so many fun and creative things to do instead!! Hehe!!

I thought instead of a photo of the tree I'd share something pretty from my walks home on Firdays. :) I love old buildings, they have so much character!

Should be reading about Interviews now, it's not the most interesting of things to do...and it's not written interestingly either, so that doesn't help...AND I answer a question just as the text did before reading it, so I'm not sure how informative it is either. :P I'm just making up excuses why I shouldn't read it.

Seeing my mum again this weekend, and my grandpa. It's his 80th. :)

Xmas!

Thought I would share some pictures of the Christmas decoartions I bought yesterday. They only cost £5. :) Our house will be so warm and pretty for Christmas! I just need the tree and lights to get the decorating started!! YAY!!

Haha...excuse my overly cheesy grin!! BUT WE WON!!! YAY!!! We're against the good teams too, so makes us feel even happier. We won 26-20!! And all 4 of us got at least 1 basket!!! Eeeee!!! Think I have to go out now to celebrate! (The boys won too, 60 something -9!)

We have a match tonight, at 5. Eeek! It's our first one this year, quite nervous!! But I think we'll do fine.

There's a social after, to go and watch some belated Bonfire Night fireworks, but I'm quite scared of fireworks so I'm thinking of staying in and having a quietish night. :)

OOOO!! AND I got christmas decorations, our theme is gold and silver, so winter wonderland-esc!!! Hehe, and I've reserved a Christmas tree and some lights!! YAY!! I'm so excited about decorating for Christmas!!! :D I think I'm getting my friends excited too! I hope so. :)

I went on a walk.

I went on a walk yesterday, not too far just around where we live. It was nice though, just to get out and walk with nowhere in particular to go. :) Here are some pictures from the walk:



Thought of the day: I've always wanted to be one of those people that sees the little things, and enjoys them. One of those people that can find joy in the simplest things, those magical people you can't help but find fascinating. Those people that will be silly in public, that have such a love for life and care so little about what others think. Thats probably why I like movies like Phoebe in Wonderland, and shows like Ally McBeal. Even though I don't think I am one of those people, I do get a great deal of inspiration from them to be happier and do what I want. I love that. :)

The days go by...

I feel so busy a lot of the time, even though I am not. Hehe. I don't feel like I have enough time to do the little fun things, like going out and taking photos, drawing, painting, and all of that. I plan a lot though, I think I plan too much. I have all these ideas for decorating for christmas, and cakes to make for certain events, and what to do when James visits...plan, plan, plan.

I will write more when my head is organised...feels a bit sloshy now. :)

Weekend Visit. :)

My mum and sis arrived on Friday and stayed til Sunday. Was a whole bunch of fun. :) We didn't really do much, walked around town, looked in all the cute shops, played with the kitten...but it was just so nice to see them again. :) Here are some photos from our weekend.

Flowers!

To get ready for my mum and sister visiting I got some pretty flowers. I think flowers make a house so much nicer and happier. :) I'm feeling kinda nervous. They are visiting my house, this is the first time I've had my own house. (not just mine, living with friends...but you get what I mean?) I feel it needs to look nice for them. Hehe. The flowers below are in my room, they make it smell nice.
Been making all sorts of plans for what to do when they are here. I think I've got things planned. :) Hehe...I hope!

Gingerbread Men

We bought a little gingerbread man making set from Tesco's a few days ago. Finally remembered about them last night and had some fun decorating. The above one is mine, and the one below is Miriams. :)

Otherwise, not been up to much lately...just getting more confused about Linear Algebra, but I know most people don't care about maths so I won't expand. :P
Got a social tonight, for basketball! Wooo! Three legged social...worries me a little! But I am determined to have fun and make the most of it! :)

Today it rained...typical northern weather. I really do need to buy myself an umbrella. Hehe.

Mondays suck. I start lectures at 9, which isn't that bad. My tutor is nice, and I actually understand the maths. It's really the afternoons that I don't like. Maths, Education, Maths. URGH! I went to Education last week to ask if they could move the lecture, since that would only inconvenience 20ish people as opposed to 200. But they can't, not unless the lecturer comes to them directly, and I never have time to talk to the lecturer because I arrive to the lectures late, and have to run off at the end...I feel so deflated after that lecture. AND the maths lecturer wouldn't end early so I could get to the next lecture not so late, BUT he thought that wouldn't be fair on the rest of the students. I hate being the only one doing my subject, I don't have any voice. So I feel pretty bad, tired and grumpy at the end of Mondays. Garfield has it right.

EEE!

I got a new camera! :D Hehe!!! I am very excited about it, should be able to do a lot more than I could before. Not had much chance to play with it yet...I need pretty things to test it on. :P But I am loving it so far, still working out some of the settings, and what my favourites are, but YAY!!!

So if I have time during my busy weeks to go out and take photos, I will be updating them! :D I am so happy!

Camera!

I am thinking...that tomorrow...I MIGHT...buy a new camera. Been wanting a new one for ages, something that can take macro photos well, I LOVE macro photos. Found a camera I like, so if I am enrgetic enough to walk into town tomorrow, and ready for the commitment, I'm thinking of getting a Nikon Coolpix P90 Digital Camera. :O Yays!

Off to a 5:15 tutorial...I hate having to be at the science site at 5:15...4 times a week every other week, it's once inbetween...but thats a lot of long days! :( Oh well, I'll just have to suck it up!

I haven't really been paying much attension to my blog recently. Mainly because University has started and I really want to settle in to the rythm. I'm still not settled, I don't want to do work, my legs kill from walking, and I'm sick...just like everyone else.

I will be back shortly though, I think. I've decided to try and stop making plans, and just do what I feel like doing. So if I feel like posting, I will. I plan so much, and don't ever do most of it, that I feel bad...which probably isn't good is it?

As well as failing at the blog promise I made to myself...I have been failing at most of the others. I'm not really being very positive at the moment, but I'm trying! I haven't got a new camera yet. I've not been doing much for myself. And I haven't done much creative. Hopefully, just doing whatever will let me do SOME of these...but we'll see.

I may be writing a lot more than I normally do, probably in the evenings, because I just need to talk somewhere sometimes, and this is easy. :) My days are also becoming more interesting, as I now have things to talk about...like lectures, and my legs hurting from all the walking! Also buying and cooking for myself, for the first time...and lacking a lot of veg. I just don't like picking it up to buy, like eating it...just forget to get it. Hehe...I'll sort that out eventually.

I could keep talking and talking....BUT I think with my health the way it is at the moment (cold, cough and achey legs) maybe some rest would be good. :)

PS: Sunday was 3 years with James. :) and they have been 3 happy years. :)

Lists lists lists...

I have two lists to update you with, BUT thats boring reading all in one post so I'll spread them out...and being me, that means none today. I am lazy, not all the time, but today has been such a slow and uneventful day that I feel like being slow and uneventful. I will however tell you titles. I forgot to post the TV theme songs from last week, and this weeks was Pizza toppings (things you put on pizza, not combinations). AND for next week it is 80s Music!!! I can't wait to start that list! :)

More people are back so we are having a 'party' tonight, maybe 80s music research will get me out of this lazy mood!!!

Quick Update

Lots of people are coming back to Durham now. SO exciting!! Hehe. I like seeing people again. :)

I haven't done much creative lately...I hope that will change once I feel settled.

My room is starting to come together...but I'm not happy with it yet.

I need food. Need to stock up on lots of yummy food. :)

In my new home

Finally in the house! It's so cool. Been moving things around and unpacking all morning, then buying myself some food this afternoon! I feel so tired...my brain no longer wants to work.

Will update with some wonderful pictures and stuff...but for now I think I'm going to rest. :)

...if you could see what your life would be like if you had made a different choice.

I've always wondered what it would be like if I had chosen to do things a different way. I'm not sure it would always be a good thing to know, because what if it's better than what you have now and you can't go back and change that choice? It would be interesting though...
